Nai Harn Beach in Phuket
Nai Harn Beach is surrounded by mountains and small islands, which makes it one of the most beautiful beaches on the south coast of the island. It’s a favorite beach of European residents of Phuket. There are a few hotels on the beach therefore in high season the beach is not overloaded with tourists like other southern beaches on the western coast, Kata and Karon.
Casuarina trees around the beach create pleasurable chill shade. Small shallow pond without currents and waves in the eastern part of the beach is great for kids’ playing. You can take a walk around beautiful neighborhood: Buddhist temple, park and lake with a walking path.

Yanui Beach, Phuket
Yanui beach is a small, secluded and natural beach without sunbeds, umbrellas and shops with commercial goods for tourists. With Phuket’s growth and development, such kind of natural beaches have become a rarity.
A big advantage of Yanui beach is that it is easy to get here by car. Yanui is located in a beautiful bay between the Windmill viewpoint and Promthep Cape.
You can enjoy snorkeling with a mask watching the fish and other sea life. A rock rising in the middle of the beach creates a picturesque view. Yanui beach is a popular venue for weddings and photo shoots.
Ao Sane Beach in Rawai
You can get to this beach by walking through the Naiharn Hotel first and then going down the small hill. Ao Sane is another small (about 200 meters) natural beach without sun beds and jet skis. The beach is a picturesque rocky bay, a great place for snorkeling and chilling among wild nature.
Friendship Beach — unusual beach of Phuket
Friendship Beach is a long pebble beach between Chalong Pier and Rawai Beach. The water is shallow in Chalong Bay, at low tide water can moves back for a kilometer baring the seabed with stones, so the beach is not used for swimming. Chalong Pier is the starting point for diving, fishing and boat tours to the southern islands. There are several resorts and restaurants with sea view on the beach. Friendship Beach Resort is popular with Phuket’s residents as a place for a leisurely Sunday brunch. The famous seafood restaurant Kan Eang is located next to the pier. There is a riding club nearby that can organize horseback riding on the beach.
Rawai Beach — visiting card of the area
Rawai Beach is a great place for an evening walk along the sea or for a lunch or dinner near the water edge with the sounds of waves. You can enjoy stunning view to the small islands surrounding the south of Phuket and traditional Thai boats against the background of Andaman Sea. Rawai Beach is used as a pier for one-day boat tours to Coral Island, Racha Islands, Bon Island, etc. The most famous Phuket seafood market opens here in the evening.
Nui Beach in Rawai, Phuket
Nui Beach is a “secret” beach, serene and gorgeous. Getting to Nui Beach is a little adventure but it’s worth it. The road to the beach is a hilly dirt road in the jungle. You can pass it by yourself or take a taxi at the exit of the main road. Entrance to the beach is paid. There are several beautiful spots for taking a photo, big swings just above the sea, swimming-pool, café and restaurant on the beach.
Laem Ka Beach — one more nice place in Rawai, Phuket
Laem Ka is a small beach about 150 meters long edged by large stones. This is the only one beach in Rawai located on the leeward east coast, so there are no big waves here even in the low season. Due to some administrative issues, access to the beach is currently possible only from the sea.
